The manual is broadly organized into four areas:

• Four Foundational Lessons—these are the building blocks for all your horse training.
• Training—this section leads you through working with an unbroke to ground work to bridle work.
• Riding—this section combines the lessons learned in the previous two sections and includes extensive training exercises, complete with riding patterns, at the walk, trot, and lope.
• Starting your own business—this section provides invaluable information on how to establish and launch your horse training career, and also covers such topics as horse health, grooming, and tack and gear.

In addition, the manual contains 17 riding patterns and 38 illustrations.
